Triple Pod: a pixel-art moon colony merge puzzle
Grow a glowing colony on a tiny moon at night, three pieces at a time. Place the piece in your hand on the 6 by 6 plateau. When three or more matching pieces touch, they fuse into the next tier on the tile you just filled: Glitteroot Bud, Glitteroot Shrub, Glitteroot, Pod, Shelter, Condo, Apartment, Soaring Tower and finally the Galaxy Fortress. Match four or more for a golden Radiant piece worth double.
How to play
- Hover a tile, or tap it once on a phone, to preview which pieces will merge. Click or tap again to place.
- Droids hop one tile each turn and Rocket Droids warp anywhere. Box them in and they turn into Scarlet Shards, which fuse into Energy Stones, Reactors and loot.
- Park a piece in the hangar pad in the top-left corner and swap it back later.
- Tap a Loot Chest to cash it for coins, then buy bombs, a teleport portal, a clone drone or a terraformer in the shop.
- The game ends when the board is full.
Controls
Mouse, touch or keyboard. Arrow keys move, Enter places, H swaps with the hangar, 1 to 6 buy shop items, M toggles music.
Sound
An adaptive chiptune soundtrack and 23 sound effects, all synthesized live in the browser. The music gains layers as your colony grows.
